Manifestações culturais dos estudantes guineenses na UNILAB: Análise do projeto de extensão ‘Kabaz di terra’ danças e ritmos tradicionais da Guiné-Bissau

Abstract

O presente artigo foi desenvolvido com base no projeto de extensão “Kabaz di Terra: Danças e ritmos tradicionais da Guiné-Bissau”, vinculado a Pró-reitoria de Extensão, Arte e Cultura (PROEX) e tem como objetivo apresentar as principais ações de extensão promovidas pelo projeto na Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira (UNILAB) e a sua relação com a comunidade externa. Para efeito de realização deste trabalho, tem-se como abordagem qualitativa a partir de uma análise bibliográfica/documental. A partir das ações apresentadas pelo projeto, constatou-se que o projeto contribui/contribuiu para fortalecer os laços de integração na UNILAB, através das culturas, por outro lado, na comunidade externa, o projeto ajuda a desconstruir um imaginário negativo sobre o continente africano e da Guiné-Bissau, visto na maioria das vezes, como exótico e selvagem, esquecendo/desconhecendo das riquezas culturais existentes no país.

This article was developed based on the extension project “Kabaz di Terra: Dances and traditional rhythms of Guinea-Bissau”, linked to the Dean of Extension, Art and Culture (PROEX) and aims to present the main extension actions promoted by the project at the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (Unilab) and its relationship with the external community. For the purpose of carrying out this work, a qualitative approach is taken from a bibliographical/documental analysis. From the actions presented by the project, it was verified that the project contributes/ contributed to strengthen the ties of integration in Unilab, through cultures, on the other hand, in the external community, the project helps to deconstruct a negative imaginary about the African continent and from Guinea-Bissau, most often seen as exotic and wild, forgetting/ignoring the cultural riches existing in the country.
