Nowadays, the role of consumers/users of Internet is getting much more determined by their will: they search, observe and communicate what is really interesting for them. This change in the way Internet consumption occurs impacts the way consumers relate with brands‟ communication. The “explosion” in adoption of online social networks changed even more the way a brand should design its communication strategy. Aiming the capture of new clients, the brand now understands that there‟s no such thing as static audience. Despite the creative process goal of assuring reach, the brands needs to know how to create and manage an even greater engagement of consumers, through Viral Marketing, amongst other activities. To better understand this, this study reflects the relevance of storytelling and on the word-of-mouth, leveraged by the capabilities of Information Technologies. Our literature review capter lists the critical points in the Viral Marketing approach. Integrating those in a conceptual model. A methodology for designing a viral piece is suggested and is validated by the mean of a case study analysis, of the “digital” identifying the key points one should consider in the strategic process of Viral Marketing.por
