| dc.description.abstract | The hospitality industry is one of the most sought-after industries for leisure and relaxation, and it is also a source of income for many workers. Although it aims to promote well-being among users, this sector is one of the workplaces with the worst working conditions, whether due to its daily and seasonal fluctuations, extended working hours, or high work demands. Considering how important the well-being of these workers is in providing greater well-being to customers, this dissertation aims to understand the role of connection to nature and person-organization fit (P-O Fit) in the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices and affective and psychological well-being. To achieve this goal, an online questionnaire was administered to 130 workers in the hospitality industry. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics software, and the research model was tested with the PROCESS macro. The main results show that connection to nature moderates the relationship between CSR and psychological well-being, with no moderation regarding CSR and P-O Fit. The existence of a positive relationship between CSR and affective and psychological well-being was also confirmed, while P-O Fit mediation proved to be significant in the relationship between CSR and affective well-being. This study deepens the literature on the influence of connection to nature on well-being and contributes to the investment in CSR practices that bring employees closer to nature, aiming at improvements in the well-being and, subsequent, performance of workers. | |
