The Black and Scholes model is still today widely used to price an European type vanilla option, despite the fact that some of the assumptions underlying this model are far from realistic which brings the need to adapt the model. Thus, unlike what is assumed by the model, the implied volatility of a set of options on the same underlying asset, varies in accordance with not only the strike price but also the time to maturity, which creates a dynamic and non-flat implied volatility surface. The aim of this work is, therefore, to find a theoretical parametric representation that may achieve a good fit with the empirical implied volatility surface. Several models were studied to find the one with the best results to minimize the ordinary least squares. The first main goal is to capture the "smile effect" through a quadratic form, for the same maturity and across different strike prices, and then construct the whole implied volatility surface, fitted with the empirical one, considering the implied volatility term structure.por
