Projeto empresa: estratégia de crescimento para uma PME portuguesa

Abstract

Num mundo cada vez mais concorrencial e em constante evolução, as empresas precisam de apostar em novas estratégias de forma a aumentarem a sua performance económicofinanceira, bem como o seu próprio nível de competitividade. Atualmente, a União Europeia atravessa uma das maiores crises das últimas décadas, e Portugal é um dos países afetados onde a taxa de sobrevivência das empresas nacionais não é das mais favoráveis, no entanto, isto constitui uma grande oportunidade para as empresas se redefinirem. Sendo assim, as PME portuguesas devem apostar em novas estratégias de negócio, de forma a agarrarem novas oportunidades, permitindo assim crescerem e criarem condições de sustentabilidade a longo prazo. Como tal, a problemática deste Projeto centra-se em analisar uma possível implementação de uma estratégia de crescimento por parte de uma PME, que está estagnada e pretende atingir um crescimento sustentável. O mercado em que a empresa se insere é altamente competitivo, portanto o desafio passa por mudar o rumo da empresa que se encontra atualmente numa fase de maturidade, com uma taxa de crescimento muito reduzida, quase nula. A familiaridade e acesso/conhecimento da empresa, foram as principais razões que me levaram a escolhêla, com o intuito de no final ter um projeto viável, que poderá ser aplicado e ter implicações no mundo real.

In a world where competition is developing more and more, companies need to bet on new strategies in order to improve their economic and financial performance, as well as their own level of competitiveness. Nowadays, European Union is under one of the biggest crises of the last decades, and Portugal is one of the affected countries, where the survival rates of the firms are not one of the most favorable ones. Nevertheless, this constitutes a big opportunity for firms to redefine their strategies. Thereby, the small, medium Portuguese firms (PME) should bet on new business approaches in a way that they should get new opportunities allowing themselves to grow and create sustainability at long term. As so, the aim of this project is to analyze the possible application of a sustainable growth strategy to a stagnant firm in this type of condition. The market where the company is established is highly competitive therefore the challenge of this project is to change its direction forwards and reverse the actual growth rate which is very low. The close connection and the easy access to information were some of the main reasons to choose it. The final goal is having a valuable project that can be applied in the real world.
