Abstract: Swisslog has identified inconsistencies in the productivity estimates across the Greater Europe region countries and differences between the budgeted and actual figures presented in the financial reports. This report outlines the Swisslog’s way of calculating productivity across seven countries and attempts to explain deviations between the countries, as well as the reported figures based on the information gathered. This study is also significant, as it gives an insight into the calculations in the real service organisation, which gives another chance to compare and contrast the literature theories against the practicality in the business settings. This piece of work was undertaken to form the In-Company Project as part of the authors master’s degree, as well it was part of the writer’s job to complete the analysis for the company.
