O direito no campo da investigação sociológica em Portugal: tendências, tematizações e protagonistas

Abstract

Este working paper promove uma análise do peso relativo dos artigos científicos que tematizam o direito, no universo das três principais revistas de ciências sociais em Portugal. Visa-se medir a importância percentual dos artigos que tematizam o direito no universo de artigos publicados nessas revistas, mas também categorizar e quantificar essas tematizações. Esta grelha analítica aplicarse-á a todos os artigos científicos que tematizam o direito, independentemente da formação académica dos seus autores, bem como aos que foram escritos em regime de autoria ou coautoria por sociólogos e por “sociólogos nacionais”. Conclui-se que o peso editorial do direito e da sociologia do direito em cada uma destas três revistas é bastante variável, mas também que os tipos de tematizações modais variam consoante a revista em causa. Este exercício analítico de sociologia da sociologia portuguesa será enquadrado numa reflexão mais vasta acerca da emergência e estruturação do campo da sociologia em Portugal.

This working paper analyses the relative weight of scientific articles addressing law issues published in the three most important Portuguese social science journals. The main goal is to measure the percentage relevance of these lawrelated articles in this editorial field, and also to categorize them. This analytical frame is applied to all the articles that address law, regardless of their authors’ academic training, but also to those written by sociologists and “national sociologists”. On the one hand, it was found that there are significant differences between these three publications regarding the editorial weight of law-related articles and, specifically, the sociology of law articles. On the other hand, it has become very clear that the modal themes of law-related articles tend to vary among the publications under analysis. This analytical effort for a sociology of Portuguese sociology will be enhanced by a broader reflexion about the emergence and structuring of the field of sociology in Portugal.
