O impacto das expressões artísticas em ação humanitária

Abstract

Esta dissertação de mestrado, desenvolvida no âmbito do Mestrado em Ação Humanitária, pretende demonstrar a relevância e o impacto das Expressões Artísticas na Ação Humanitária. O objetivo central é documentar e refletir sobre o trabalho realizado e as experiências adquiridas ao longo das intervenções humanitárias em campos de refugiados. Numa primeira fase, foi realizada uma contextualização da situação global da Ação Humanitária, abordando os seus princípios fundamentais que orientam esta área de atuação. Em seguida, explorou-se o papel das Expressões Artísticas neste campo, analisando as suas diferentes formas de aplicação e os potenciais impactos que essas práticas podem gerar nas crianças. Um dos pontos centrais da dissertação foi a análise comparativa do trabalho de três ONGs: Ação pela Esperança, Paz da Arte e Refúgio de Arte. Esta análise permitiu identificar as abordagens diferenciadas de cada organização, os programas implementados e os respetivos impactos nas comunidades envolvidas. Ao longo desta pesquisa, foram identificados desafios, oportunidades e práticas associadas ao uso das Expressões Artísticas na Ação Humanitária, contribuindo para uma compreensão mais ampla do tema.

This master's thesis, developed within the scope of the Master's Degree in Humanitarian Action, aims to investigate the relevance and impact of Artistic Expressions in Humanitarian Action. To this end, a detailed analysis of the use of Artistic Expressions in Humanitarian Action projects was carried out, with the aim of documenting, analyzing and reflecting on the work developed and the experiences acquired during the interventions carried out. Initially, a contextualization of the situation of Humanitarian Action in the world was carried out, addressing the fundamental principles that guide this area of action. Then, the use of Artistic Expressions in Humanitarian Action was explored, its different forms of application and the potential impacts of these practices. One of the central points of the dissertation was the comparative analysis of the work of three NGOs: Action for Hope, Peace of Art and Art Refuge. Through this analysis it was possible to make a comparative reflection on the approaches of each organization, the programs implemented and their impact. Throughout this research, challenges, opportunities and practices related to the use of Artistic Expressions in Humanitarian Action were identified, contributing to a broader understanding of the theme.
