Plano de Negócio: Team Padel

Abstract

A tese de mestrado apresentada tem como objetivo a promoção de um estilo de vida mais saudável e sustentável, tendo em conta a crescente preocupação com a saúde e bem-estar da população. Neste sentido, praticar uma atividade física adequada é um dos pilares essenciais para alcançar um estilo de vida saudável. No estudo realizado, foi analisada a modalidade desportiva de padel, que tem vindo a ganhar popularidade em Portugal, com um aumento médio anual de praticantes na ordem dos 80%. É estimado que em Portugal haja mais de 200.000 praticantes, entre jogadores federados e amadores, sendo Lisboa o local com maior oferta e também com maior procura. Para atingir os objetivos pretendidos e avaliar o mercado sobre a aceitação deste novo clube de Padel, foi utilizada uma metodologia qualitativa, recorrendo à análise de um questionário respondido por 435 pessoas, das quais 86,9% disseram ser jogadores de Padel, o que resultou numa amostra significativa de 378 jogadores. Com base nas informações obtidas na revisão de literatura, na análise externa e competitiva, na análise da concorrência e na validação da proposta de valor do plano de negócios através do questionário, foi possível definir a estratégia a adotar e executar o respetivo plano financeiro. O estudo permitiu concluir que o plano apresenta um VAL de 532.040€, uma taxa interna de rentabilidade (TIR) de 37%, um IRP (índice de rentabilidade do projeto) de 1,7 e um payback period de aproximadamente 2 anos e 11 dias, tratando-se de um projeto economicamente viável. Assim, a promoção da atividade física adequada através da modalidade desportiva de padel pode contribuir para um estilo de vida mais saudável e sustentável e, ao mesmo tempo, ser uma oportunidade de negócio economicamente viável.

The objective of the presented master's thesis is to promote a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle, taking into account the growing concern for the health and well- being of the population. In this sense, practicing adequate physical activity is one of the essential pillars to achieve a healthy lifestyle. The study analyzed the sport of padel, which has been gaining popularity in Portugal, with an average annual increase of around 80% in the number of players. It is estimated that there are already more than 200,000 players, including federated and amateur players, with Lisbon being the location with the most clubs and also the highest demand. To achieve the intended objectives, a qualitative methodology was used, relying on the analysis of a questionnaire answered by 435 people, of which 86.9% claimed to be padel players, resulting in a significant sample of 378 players. Based on the information obtained in the literature review, external and competitive analysis, competition analysis, and validation of the business plan's value proposition through the questionnaire, it was possible to define the strategy to adopt and execute the respective financial plan. The study concluded that the plan presented a NPV of €532.040, an internal rate of return (IRR) of 37%, a profitability index (PI) of 1.7, and a payback period of approximately 2 years and 11 days, making it an economically viable project. Therefore, promoting adequate physical activity through the sport of padel can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable lifestyle while also being an economically viable business opportunity.
