After the proclamation of Independence of Guinea Bissau in 1973, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the People created by PAIGC during the national war for the freedom, have become the national army and also integrated some leader positions in the government. The “FARP” were legally partisan and politicized until 1991, but with the transition from single party to multiparty political system, the FARP were legally des-partisan. However, the Guinean soldiers still continue to intervene in the political life, against the Constitutional duty of the army power submission to the political power. With this subject it is intended to analyze: - The role of Revolutionary Armed Forces of People, according to the Republic Constitution and the military power taking apart the State of Law. - The consequences of the statement: “jus imperii” of State and challenges. |
