Resumo: | The thesis analyzes the methods used to influence customers in order to sell the
required amount of goods and increase sales. Recent technologies are influencing rapidly all
retail areas. High claims are posed on information quality and accessibility within the sales
process. The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the possibilities of using information
technologies and documents and their real practical usage. This dissertation work primarily
studies the trends and developments in modern retailing that are closely linked to the latest
available information technology. The analysis of the modern information technologies
includes an explanation of their contribution to the retailer in the context of streamlining
business, as well as the advantages for the customer. The effectiveness and feasibility of the
use of modern information technology is supported by a questionnaire research.
The questionnaire investigation is aimed at inhabitants of the Czech Republic - visitors
of shopping centers - and their attitudes to modern information technologies in the retail
sector. The results of the questionnaire survey shows that customers of the shopping malls in
Czech Republic are aware of the new information technologies that are described in the
thesis, but their practical usage is still insufficient, thus we can speculate about their
effectiveness and return on investment. Modern technologies are generally positively
received, but their real use is far more sporadic, especially in the case of self-service devices.
Experience from abroad clearly indicates that we can expect early deployment of active usage
of modern information technologies, described in the thesis, on the Czech market in near
future. |
